Simon Cowell has experienced two different bicycle accidents in the last two years, both of which have caused serious health issues. Cowell recently talked candidly about these incidents when he appeared on the Today Show alongside Heidi Klum, Terry Crews, and Howie Mandel, his fellow America’s Got Talent judges.

In 2020, the 64-year-old TV personality was involved in an e-bike accident in Malibu. In early 2022, he suffered a similar accident while riding through London. Simon was questioned about how these mishaps have affected his perspective on life in a promotional video for the forthcoming 18th season of America’s Got Talent. “They were far from terrific, rather quite terrible,” he acknowledged, “because I wasn’t in the best shape before the mishaps.” He became aware of how out of shape he had been when he thought back on his recuperation.
