Nick is driving home from a three-day work trip, looking forward to relaxing, when he notices a shocking message on his wife Kate’s diner billboard: “Nick, I know what you did. Don’t bother coming home.” Confused and alarmed, Nick rushes home to find Kate furious over a bouquet of roses with a note for another woman. Kate believes Nick has been unfaithful.
Nick insists he’s innocent, and after checking the delivery receipt, he discovers the flowers were meant for a nearby house. Realizing her mistake, Kate is embarrassed and apologizes for jumping to conclusions and publicly humiliating him. Though hurt by her lack of trust, Nick forgives her, and they start mending their relationship over dinner at the diner.
